From the Ladies Captain 2025

Welcome to Chesfield Downs Golf and Country Club, it’s a great place to be and has so much to offer as part of your membership. There is a very successful and thriving Ladies Golf section here (requires a £10 joining fee) our members are a very friendly and welcoming group of ladies of all ages and golfing abilities.

If you are new to golf we will help you obtain a handicap so that you can take part in our competitions, we’ll take you through a full induction and explain everything you’ll need to know.

Ladies section days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, there are weekend slots and mixed competitions so plenty of opportunity to get involved and compete. In addition, the section has a full diary of inter-club matches home and away which you may be interested in joining.

Throughout the golfing year we hold many successful and fun events plus social activities such as joining our walking group, book club or theatre trips.

There is a very experienced and hard-working committee managing our affairs, plus support from myself as Captain and Vice-Captain Jacqui Harbor. There is an online golf system (IG – intelligent golf) to manage tee times and competition fees.

We can guarantee you a warm welcome to our friendly section and look forward to hearing from you.
